Lacewings
Lacewings (Chrysoperia Carnea or Chrysoperia Rufilabris) larvae are known as "Aphid Lions", complementing their voracious appetite for aphids. The lacewings will also consume mealy bugs, red spider mites, thrips, some small worms and many different insect eggs and larvae. They feed for about three weeks until they pupate and spin into a white cocoon. After one week they emerge as adults to lay eggs. The lacewings are shipped in the egg stage in a container of rice hulls. Along with the eggs will be some frozen moth eggs as a source of food incase some of the lacewing eggs hatch. For gardens and greenhouses use 1000 eggs per 500 square feet. For fields and orchards use 5000 eggs per acre. Ship live Mon - Wed.
